PUP Advocacy Launches New Six-Figure Ad Encouraging President Trump to Save Working Families from Democrats’ Health Care Mess

Ad Calls for the Extension of Premium Tax Credits by Year’s End

Plymouth Union Public (PUP) Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, launched a new ad today encouraging President Donald Trump to save working families from the Democrats’ health care mess by extending the premium tax credits by the end of the year.

The 30-second spot “Clean Up” is backed by a six-figure buy and will be in Washington, DC for the next week as Congress works to find a consensus on health care.

The ad underscores how the healthcare system Democrats built is on the brink of falling apart, and President Trump can “clean it up” by extending the premium tax credits. The ad reads, “costs are already rising, and they’ll double when the premium tax credits end on December 31st.” The spot argues that extending the credits now will create a runway for President Trump and Republicans to deliver a winning, patient-centered reform plan in 2026 that will lead to success for the GOP in the midterms.

The President’s pollster, Tony Fabrizio, earlier this year found that extending premium tax credits could be key for President Trump to hold his trifecta in the 2026 midterms.

    TRANSCRIPT:

Democrats promised lower costs and better care.

But healthcare is anything but affordable.

And the system the Democrats built is about to break.

Costs are already rising, and they’ll double when the premium tax credits end on December 31st.

Democrats failed. But President Trump can save us.

He can extend the premium tax credits hardworking families rely on,

So Republicans can win on healthcare in 2026.

President Trump: Clean up the Democrat healthcare mess. Extend the premium tax credits.

  • New Polling Finds Extending Healthcare Tax Credits Moves Voters in Tough GOP Incumbent Senate Races, Strengthens Path to Republican Majority

New Polling Finds Extending Healthcare Tax Credits Moves Voters in Tough GOP Incumbent Senate Races, Strengthens Path to Republican Majority

Voters in Maine and Alaska support extending enhanced advanced premium tax credits and will reward Senators Collins and Sullivan for doing so

WASHINGTON — Plymouth Union Public (PUP) Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, today released two new polls showing that extending Enhanced Advance Premium Tax Credits (eAPTCs) is overwhelmingly popular in the hotly contested Senate races happening in Maineand Alaska and would increase Senators Susan Collins (R-ME) and Dan Sullivan’s (R-AK) standing with key voters.

Findings from the Maine and Alaska polls suggest general election voters in each state are concerned by the looming expiration of eAPTCs, and pro‑extension votes by Senators Collins and Sullivan produce measurable ballot movement that increases the chances of Republicans holding the Senate majority in 2026.

Key findings from the Maine poll, conducted by Cygnal, include:

    • Sen. Collins  starts the 2026 race in a challenging position, trailing a generic Democrat by 8 points (41% – 49%)
    • If Collins votes to extend the credits, she gains a net +6 on the ballot, moving her race to a statistical toss‑up (43% – 45%).
    • 73% of Maine general election voters are worried about the tax credit expiration, and 69% want Congress to extend the credits.

Click here to read the full Maine poll memo.

Key findings from the Alaska poll, conducted by the Tyson Group, include:

    • Sen. Sullivan’s job approval sits at 37% approve / 47% disapprove. Despite a R+3% advantage on the generic congressional ballot, Sullivan currently trails a generic Democrat by -4% (39% – 43%).
    • Among undecided voters, 43% are more likely to back Sullivan if he extends the credits48% are less likely to support him if he lets them expire.
    • After learning “[n]early 20 million Americans…purchase their health insurance directly on the individual market” and “rely on tax credits to help afford the cost of their monthly premiums,” 70% of respondents support extending the credits, including a majority of Republicans (52%).
    • 63% of general election voters in Alaska want action and say Congress should extend the credits, including 78% of moderates and 68% of independents.

Click here to read the full Alaska poll memo.

Why it matters: Maintaining and growing the Republican Senate majority is essential to continue implementing President Trump’s affordability agenda. Extending premium tax credits prevents a health‑care tax hike on working families, aligns with the President’s priorities, and strengthens the coalition needed to advance his broader agenda.

What They Are Saying: President Trump’s Economy is Booming Nine Months In

Stock Market Reaches Record High This Week

WASHINGTONPlymouth Union Public Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, is proud to highlight President Trump’s leadership in reviving the U.S. economy since assuming office nine months ago, marking one of the most robust periods of growth in recent years.

Key economic indicators have signaled broad-based momentum across the American economy. The stock market reached a record high this week as businesses are investing in America again, which underscores the effectiveness of President Trump’s policies that are aimed at revitalizing American dominance.

But don’t just take our word for it… Here’s what they’re saying:

Trump economy raises optimism to four‑year high

    Washington Examiner

“After sinking to an 11-year low under former President Joe Biden, Americans’ faith in the economy and direction of the nation is back on track and shooting higher.

In the latest McLaughlin & Associates national survey, the percentage of voters who believe the country is on the right track has jumped 10 points since Inauguration Day, to 44%, and those viewing it on the wrong track have dropped 16 points to 49%.”

US economy notches fastest growth pace in nearly two years in second quarter

    Reuters

“The U.S. economy grew faster than previously estimated in the second quarter amid strong consumer spending and business investment, though momentum appears to be slowing as the effects of tariffs and policy uncertainty start to filter through.

The quickest growth pace in nearly two years reported by the Commerce Department on Thursday also reflected a sharp contraction in the trade deficit as the flood of imports slowed.”

The Tariff Effect: Billions in Revenue but No Economic Earthquake

    Wall Street Journal

“The U.S. government has collected about $127 billion in tariff revenue so far this year from importers, about $72 billion more than it had at this point last year, according to the Penn Wharton Budget Model. Trump has suggested that the extra revenue can replace income tax for many Americans, particularly those earning under $200,000… Tariffs could bolster some types of domestic manufacturing—particularly sectors such as steel that have excess production capacity that can be ramped up fairly easily. Already, some small and midsize manufacturers have reported signs of increased orders in recent months from customers looking to avoid paying tariffs—especially during the brief period before Trump rolled his new 145% import levies on Chinese goods back to 30%.”

Mortgage rates fall to lowest level of 2025

    CNN

“Americans frustrated by high home borrowing rates may have gotten some welcome news this week.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate dropped to 6.19% for the week ending October 23, down from 6.27% last week, according to Freddie Mac data released Thursday.

After years of sluggish activity, sidelined homebuyers may finally be ready to jump back in, with mortgage rates now at their lowest level in more than a year and home prices softening across many major metro areas.”

US Small-Business Optimism Rises to Five-Month High on Economy

    Bloomberg

“Sentiment among US small businesses climbed to a five-month high in July as owners grew more upbeat about the economic outlook, fueling a pickup in expansion plans.

The National Federation of Independent Business optimism index increased 1.7 points last month to 100.3, according to data out Tuesday. Six of the 10 components that make up the gauge improved.”

Producer Prices: There Was No Inflation At All In June

    Breitbart

“Prices paid to American businesses for goods and services held steady in June, defying predictions that tariffs would create inflationary pressures in the U.S. economy.”

The U.S. Economy Is Regaining Its Swagger

    Wall Street Journal

“The stock market is reaching record highs. The University of Michigan’s consumer sentiment index, which tumbled in April to its lowest reading in almost three years, has begun climbing again. Retail sales are up more than economists had forecast, and sky-high inflation hasn’t materialized—at least not yet.

“We’ve been surprised again and again by consumers,” said Jonathan Millar, senior U.S. economist at Barclays. In April, Millar predicted that the U.S. economy would likely go into recession this year. He now expects it to keep growing, albeit at a slow pace.”

Consumer Confidence Unexpectedly Jumps on Rising Hopes for Jobs and Business Conditions

    Breitbart

“The Consumer Confidence Index climbed to 97.2 this month, up from a revised 95.2 in June. Economists had forecast a reading of 95.8. The rise was driven by improving expectations for business conditions, employment, and income, particularly among adults over the age of thirty-five and across nearly all income groups.”

Price of eggs has dropped 61% since Trump took office

    Fox Business

The price of eggs has dropped just over 61% since President Donald Trump took office in January, after spiking to an all-time high in March.

Iowa taxpayers expected to see average of $3,000 in savings

    Axios

“President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” is expected to save Iowans an average of $3,139 on their federal taxes next year, according to an analysis released last week by the Tax Foundation.

Why it matters: The savings could free up money for people to spend on other things, potentially giving Iowa’s economy a much-needed boost.

Catch up fast: The bill also includes new tax breaks for tips and overtime income, a cut for seniors, and an expanded child-care tax cut, all of which expire in 2028.”

  • New Polling Finds Extending Healthcare Premium Tax Credits Is a Winning Issue for Republicans in Five Key U.S. Senate Races

New Polling Finds Extending Healthcare Premium Tax Credits Is a Winning Issue for Republicans in Five Key U.S. Senate Races

Four Different Pollsters from across the country found that voters from key states support extending the healthcare enhanced premium tax credits and will reward Republican candidates for U.S. Senate who do so

WASHINGTON – Plymouth Union Public Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, concluded a multi-state and multi-pollster research effort that found Americans across the country support the enhanced premium tax credits Americans use to afford health care (eAPTCs) and want Congress to extend them before they expire at the end of the year.

Polling from a variety of pollsters in the states of MichiganNorth CarolinaFloridaTexas, and Georgia all found that their states’ voters would be more likely to vote for their Republican candidate for U.S. Senate if they supported extending the eAPTCs, and less likely to vote for a GOP candidate if they let the tax credits expire.

    • The Tyson Group found that 46% of Florida’s unsure voters are MORE likely to vote for Senator Ashley Moody if she extended eAPTCs, and 52% are LESS likely to vote for Moody if she lets eAPTCs expire.
    • Peak Insights found that a wide majority of Georgia voters say health insurance coverage is important and they overwhelmingly support providing tax credits to help purchase it.
    • Polling from Cyngal found that Texas Sen. John Cornyn trails a generic Democrat by 10 points (34-44) if he votes against the healthcare tax credit extension.
    • When asked by Public Opinion Strategies if North Carolina voters would be more likely or less likely to vote for a candidate for U.S. Senate if they supported allowing the health care premium tax credit to expire, a majority (57%) said they would be less likely to vote for the candidate, including nearly half (45%) who would be MUCH less likely.
    • The Tyson Group found that 68% of Michigan voters want Congress to extend the healthcare tax credits. Notably, Michiganders who voted for Trump are +17% in their support for extending the tax credits.

The healthcare tax credits are a key discussion point as the government shutdown continues. Both Majority Leader Thune and Speaker Johnson have expressed a willingness to extend the tax credits. President Trump has also expressed support for a potential deal to extend the credits.

In July, the President’s pollster, Tony Fabrizio, found that extending premium tax credits could be key for President Trump to hold his trifecta in the 2026 midterms. The findings show that support for premium tax credits, and their extension, among Trump voters is overwhelmingly supported (68%) and swing voters support premium tax credits and their extension at a rate of 78%.

As Shutdown Looms, Conservative Group Launches Six-Figure Ad Encouraging President Trump and Congress to Continue Push to Save Health Care

New Spot Highlights Need to Extend Premium Tax Credits

WASHINGTON — Plymouth Union Public (PUP) Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, today launched a new six-figure paid media campaign encouraging President Donald Trump to continue his push to save health care for working families by supporting an extension of the premium tax credits in the government funding package currently being negotiated in Congress.

The campaign comes as lawmakers are seeking a deal ahead of the looming shutdown deadline. The 30-second spot, “Now or Never,” is backed by a $300,000 buy and will air on TV and digital in Washington, D.C, this week. The ad closes with, “Keep making history. Keep fighting for us!”

The ad supports President Trump, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, and Speaker of the House Mike Johnson as they continue their fight to save the health care of those that deserve it the most. As the ad notes, President Trump and Congressional leaders have already taken historic action to protect care for working families via the One Big Beautiful Bill by eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse in Medicaid and preventing illegal immigrants from receiving government health benefits. It argues that the President can add to his historic achievements on health care by extending the premium tax credits.

    TRANSCRIPT:

President Trump is fighting for our health care.

He’s cracking down on fraud and abuse — so those of us who need it most get the coverage we deserve.

And now, he’s on the verge of delivering for us again.

Our health care costs will double unless action is taken to extend the premium tax credits.

President Trump knows it. Thune and Johnson know it, too.

    It’s now or never.

Mr. President — keep making history.

    Keep fighting for us.

Majority Leader Thune and Speaker Johnson, as well as several other congressional Republicans, have also expressed openness to extending the tax credits:

    • Sen. John CornynBut allowing them to go away entirely at the end of this year heading into the midterms? “I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
    • Sen. Mike CrapoSenate Finance Chair Mike Crapo (R-Idaho) also acknowledged in an interview that Republicans will likely need to address the issue: “I believe at some point we’re going to need to deal with it.”
    • Sen. Lisa Murkowski“I’m looking to perhaps do some reforms to it, but I think it is something that we are going to be forced to deal with, to reckon with, in my state.”
    • Sen. Josh HawleySen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) also urged action to reporters on Monday. “We’re gonna have to do something on that front, because if we don’t, premiums are gonna absolutely skyrocket,” he said. “I’m open to suggestions, but one option that will absolutely not fly is do nothing. We just can’t. People won’t be able to live, they won’t be able to see a doctor.”
    • Sen. Tommy TubervilleAn expiration of the credits, he said, “would hurt my state, Alabama.”

In New Ad, Conservative Group Doubles Down on Support for Extending Enhanced Premium Tax Credits

Spot Targets Key Republicans Lawmakers and Argues That Extending the Credits Will Help Those Who Will Be Impacted by Medicaid Reforms

WASHINGTONPlymouth Union Public (PUP) Advocacy today released a new ad urging Republican lawmakers to protect health care with a one-two punch: reforming Medicaid and extending enhanced premium tax credits that help working families pay for health insurance. PUP Advocacy’s new ad echoes a new policy memo released by an affiliate group earlier this week outlining the political risk of reforming Medicaid without a free-market alternative.

The 30-second spot, “One Two Punch,” is backed by a six-figure buy and is a part of a seven-figure overall effort to promote Trump’s affordability agenda. The ad will begin airing Wednesday as the reconciliation debate heats up and will run on TV and digital platforms in Washington, D.C. It will also run on digital platforms in the home states of the following senators:

    • Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD)
    • Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)
    • Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA)
    • Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
    • Sen. Mike Crapo (R-ID)
    • Sen. John Curtis (R-UT)
    • Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK)
    • Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC)

The ad follows a new memo out this week from Plymouth Union Public Research, a conservative research group aligned with PUP Advocacy, that offers guidance for Congressional Republicans to utilize the reconciliation process to extend the enhanced premium tax credits for Medicaid enrollees as a free-market policy solution. The memo argues how doing so would: 1) Ensure those who need coverage and are removed from Medicaid as a result of reforms are still able to get it 2) Save taxpayers billions 3) Be critical for midterm success.

In April, PUP Advocacy launched a powerful ad urging Republicans in Congress to protect the premium tax credits so Americans don’t have to worry about affording health care.

    TRANSCRIPT:

President Trump is stepping into the ring.

Fighting to preserve Medicaid for those who need it most.

PRESIDENT TRUMP: It’s going to be strengthened.

But this government option doesn’t work for everyone.

    Americans want more choices.

Premium tax credits can help working families afford health care.

    But Congress needs to act.

Extending these tax credits can save taxpayers billions while ensuring families have the health care they need.

Tell Congress, protect health care with a one two punch.

Preserve Medicaid and make premium tax credits work for more families.

WASHINGTON — Plymouth Union Public (PUP) Advocacy, a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, today released a new ad calling on Congress to enact President Trump’s tax agenda that will put more money in the pockets of hardworking Americans.

The ad urges lawmakers to take action on President Trump’s plan to eliminate taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits. It comes as relevant House committees are considering these policies as they plan their markups for the reconciliation package currently moving through Congress.

“Finish the Job,” a 30-second spot, will air in Washington, D.C, and is part of PUP Advocacy’s broader seven-figure effort to support the President’s initiatives to make America more affordable.

President Trump’s ushering in the Golden Age of America.

Now it’s up to Congress to finish the job and deliver for President Trump.

TRUMP: No tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security benefits for our great seniors.

Conservative Nonprofit Debuts Powerful New Ad Urging Congressional Republicans to Protect Health Care Tax Credits

“Congressional Republicans: Don’t let us down. Don’t drive up healthcare costs.
Protect our health care tax credits.”

WASHINGTONPlymouth Union Public Advocacy (PUP Advocacy), a conservative non-profit organization that aims to advance public policies that make America stronger and more prosperous, today launched a powerful new ad urging Republicans in Congress to protect the premium tax credits that help Americans afford to pay for their health insurance.

The ad reads: “The tax credits we use to pay for our health care expire soon, putting our families at risk. We know we can rely on Trump, but we need Congress to act.”

The 30-second spot, “Too Important,” is backed by a six-figure buy and air on TV and digital platforms in Washington, D.C., Idaho, Maine, North Carolina, Alaska, South Dakota, and West Virginia. The ad will specifically target the communities of the following GOP senators:

    • Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD)

    • Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV)
    • Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME)
    • Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-AK)
    • Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC)

This new ad is part of PUP Advocacy’s ongoing seven-figure Tax Cut Protection Project campaign that the group launched in February.

The premium tax credits that help Americans afford their health care are set to expire at the end of 2025 if no action is taken by Congress. These tax credits significantly reduce costs for small businesses and self-employed individuals. Without an extension from Congress, premiums could increase substantially.
